Big Number Calculator

Calculate with large integers without losing low-order digits to ordinary floating-point rounding. This tool uses integer arithmetic for addition, subtraction, multiplication and quotient-and-remainder division.

Using the Big Number Calculator

Paste the whole number without thousands separators or scientific notation. The supported input length is limited so that an accidental enormous calculation does not overwhelm the page.

Worked example

Use the example inputs below to reproduce this result. These are the form's starting values, not recommended targets. Changing your inputs updates your result above; this worked example stays fixed for comparison. Results are rounded for display.

Method and assumptions

Exact integer arithmetic. Division returns an integer quotient and remainder; binary and hexadecimal inputs are unsigned.

Keep exact values exact

Whole-number problems often need an exact answer rather than a rounded decimal. Check the permitted range and input notation before pasting a large number. A leading minus sign, a decimal point or a base prefix can change whether an entry is valid. Where the tool returns an exact integer or factorization, preserve that form for later calculations.

Common question

Why does division sometimes show a remainder instead of decimal digits?

The calculation stays in the integer domain. A quotient and remainder preserve an exact result even when the corresponding decimal expansion would repeat forever.
