Using the Healthy Weight Calculator
Enter current weight in kilograms and height in centimeters. The reference endpoints depend only on height; changing weight changes your BMI but not those endpoints. The calculator uses BMI values of 18.5 and 24.9 to show the displayed reference interval.

Method and assumptions
BMI = kg / m². Adult screening categories only; not for children or pregnancy. BMI cannot diagnose anorexia or any eating disorder, and no underweight target is recommended.

Read a screening number in context
BMI relates total body weight to height. It does not record body composition, symptoms, medical history or an individual's circumstances. A category can help describe the number consistently, but it should not stand in for a broader assessment. Use the reference as an explanation of the calculation rather than a personal instruction to change weight.
Common question
Is the reference interval my personal ideal weight?
Not necessarily. It is an interval derived from adult BMI cutoffs, not an individualized recommendation. A clinician can consider information that this form does not collect. The adult interpretation is not intended for children or pregnancy.
